Metuchen Piano Project
In the summer of 2021, Metuchen Downtown Alliance opened a call for artists to paint 3 pianos that would be displayed in downtown Metuchen, NJ. My submission was one of the chosen proposals and I was so grateful to have the chance to paint a real piano.
My concept centered around a happy and uplifting theme as we were just coming out of the most difficult year we’ve had in most of our lifetimes. I wanted to paint something that would make people smile.

One of the most exciting parts of this project was that for the unveiling, 3 musicians were hired to play the three pianos in different parts of downtown Metuchen for the evening, and my husband got hired to play my piano!
